The Margaret River Mountain Biking and Winery Tour is not your standard Margaret River Wine Tour. At Surf N’ Dirt Tours we like to start the day with a Mountain Bike Adventure in the morning before spending the afternoon enjoying the finest wines, gourmet produce and scenic locations that Margaret River has to offer.
Unlike the big bus tours, we pride ourselves on exploring the hidden gems of the region and offering unique ‘behind the scenes experiences’ which aren’t available to everyone.
Wooditjup National Park offers some of the most incredible scenery to mountain bike through in all of Australia. The karri trees, with their long pale trunks grow up to 80 metres high and are the 3rd tallest type of tree in the world.
Paul knows all of the best old logging trails and single tracks within the forest and helps maintain a few of them throughout the year. Exhilarating downhill runs and the odd log jump characterizes our Margaret River Mountain Biking tour which is perfect for all levels of mountain bike riders. The scenery that we ride through is breathtakingly beautiful and we regularly stop to take photos. If you are lucky then you might spot an Emu, Kookaburra or Bobtail lizard watching on as we pedal past.
Kick your feet up and relax after the ride as a delightful lunch is provided to you at every locals favourite food destination; The Berry Farm. Relive the best aspects of the ride as you enjoy delicious food and great company. Wander into their cellar door to explore and sample their vast range of homemade jams, preserves, syrups and dressings as well as their finely crafted wines, ciders, fruit liqueurs, fortified wines and dessert wines.
After lunch we embark on a winery tour of Margaret River’s finest boutique wineries and local gourmet producers. Taste awarding winning wines from the region and sample chocolate and olive oil as we visit the local gourmet outlets. Learn about the history of the wine industry in the region as we customize the stops to suit the group’s preferences.
